| With
voice over IP, you may be able to increase your voice radio coverage
area and/or eliminate the use of existing, costly leased phone
lines.
Our primary applications for Voice over IP have been large area
dispatch centers (Oil Delivery and Cable TV providers) with multiple
dispatch locations. If a wide area network exists, all radio dispatch
operations can be combined into one call center location eliminating
unnecessary manpower by manning multiple locations. This system
would normally be utilized for “after hours” operations,
where few calls are received and communications with drivers are
critical.

Alternate Public Safety applications have been for the elimination
of costly leased phone lines for communications to remote tower
sites. Utilization of an existing City or State computer network
can allow a radio to be remotely controlled hundreds of miles away,
with no monthly charges.
